Best time of day to visit
Early morning offers cooler walking conditions, while late afternoon can give warmer light on the formations. Midday is more exposed in summer. Choose timing around weather, daylight and the return journey rather than photography alone.
Balloons may be visible from parts of the area when flights operate, but wind determines the route. Do not choose a trail solely on the assumption that balloons will pass overhead.
How long do you need?
Allow roughly 30–60 minutes for a panorama stop including photographs and transport coordination. A hike needs several hours once walking, pauses and getting to and from the trail are included.
